IFS Newsletter 2011 Vol. 28 No. 1 August
On April 7, 2010 the General Assembly of the IFSR approved the founding of the International Academy of Systems and Cybernetic Sciences (IASCYS). It is a body of activity within the International Federation for Systems Research (IFSR).
With sadness IASCYS has received the notice that one of our members, Ernst von GLASERFELD has passed away.
We welcomed two new members: Edgar MORIN and Erwin LAZLO.
We acquired the following internet domain Names for use by the IASCYS :iascys.info. iascys.net and iascys.org (none is operational yet!)
We have sent to our members (by e-mail) 38 call-for-papers, 12 pieces of information about IFSR’s member societies and 7 announcements about Journals in the area of Systemics or Cybernetics.
